Marketing Manager - Hydraulic

Position Summary:
Provide leadership and management for the marketing functions and strategically directs and implements near and long-term strategies that meet the business growth objectives and market shares. Develop and implement marketing initiatives and plans leading the marketing team in working closely with the sales team and the manufacturing plants.
Scope/Supervision & Interaction:
- Report to General Manager.
- Directly lead the Marketing function of the Division in close coordination with the other Group & Country Marketing Managers, Product managers, business development managers, product engineers etc.
- Close coordination, communication and interaction with the Sales Team are critical for this position.
- It also plays a key role in developing and implementing new product/localization plans for the division in working with the manufacturing teams.
- Must develop & deploy strategic initiatives and actions on all Marketing and Business Development related activities, keeping in mind Macro & micro economic developments.
Essential Functions:
- Provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of annual marketing and strategic plans, encompassing promotion and advertising, competitive analysis, market research, trend analysis, inside sales, and the creation of product training materials.
- Own the growth plan for key market segments specific to the divisions product portfolio; develop and implement strategies to expand these segments; formulate growth initiatives for critical regions and markets; educate sales companies; and foster global customer partnerships.
- Lead and supervise the marketing team, guiding them in executing market and customer development initiatives and plans effectively.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team, distributors, and customers to support business growth objectives; maintain strong, positive relationships with key distributors and customers to advance divisional interests and develop tailored strategies and programs that meet their needs.
- Identify emerging technologies, growth trends, and market forecasts within target segments; collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop new products and enhance existing offerings aligned with growth targets.
- Oversee product development, implementation, and commercialization activities, including the design and delivery of promotional campaigns and training programs for field sales, inside sales, and distribution networks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Provide comprehensive market intelligence to support informed product development and successful commercialization efforts.
- Coordinate annual pricing reviews and support strategic pricing decisions to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans that align with and support the Divisions overall business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze technology advancements, market growth trends, competitive dynamics, and forecasts relevant to the divisions market segments.
- Serve as the Division Coordinator for Intellectual Property management and oversee the Division Technology Control Plan.
- Ensure alignment of the India market strategies with broader Asia regional objectives.
Qualification:
- Education: Bachelors degree in any discipline or Bachelor of Engineering. An MBA is considered an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of proven experience in the relevant industry, with a successful track record in sales, marketing, and management roles.
