Marketing Head: D2C
Key Responsibilities:
Here's what the candidate will actually do:
1. Plan the Brand Launch:
- Decide how we will reveal the new product to the world.
- Build a clear rollout plan (timeline, channels, messaging).
- Think through what will make people notice and remember the brand.
2. Build the Marketing Strategy:
- Create a pre-launch buzz plan so that people get excited before release.
- Define post-launch marketing to grow sales and maintain interest.
3. Manage Content Creation:
- List what content is needed (photos, videos, social posts, website banners).
- Find and hire content creators and agencies.
- Ensure the content fits the brand look and tone.
4. Work with the Design Team
- Guide the team building the brand website so it matches marketing goals.
- Make sure the website clearly explains the brand and converts visitors into buyers.
5. Bring in Marketing Experts
- Choose companies and freelancers (like ad agencies, content studios) to support marketing.
- Manage their work and deliverables.
6. Use Experience from Similar Businesses
- Must have hands-on experience in launching or running an online consumer brand (D2C).
- Should understand how to grow a business through marketing.
The ideal candidate:
- Is senior and experienced
- Has run marketing for a real product brand (not only marketplace listings)
- Understands how online businesses grow
- Makes strategic decisions, leads teams, and delivers results
