Job Title: Director - Technology Lead

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Technology Leader to head the technology function for our product engineering initiatives. This role will oversee the design and development of enterprise-grade products, with a strong focus on Java, AI/ML, and product development. The Director - Technology Lead will be responsible for driving innovation, leading cross-functional teams, ensuring robust product architecture, and aligning technology delivery with global business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Leadership & Strategy:

- Define and execute technology strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and innovation.

- Architect and oversee development of cutting-edge products leveraging Java, AI/ML, and modern engineering practices.

- Define and own the AI/ML strategy across projects (Generative AI, synthetic data pipelines, video retail analytics, LLM-based automation).

- Guide architectural decisions on model selection, fine-tuning, and deployment of AI systems.

- Lead and manage the technology team, ensuring strategic alignment with company's objectives.

- Evaluate emerging technologies (GenAI, MLOps, RAG, vector databases, etc.) for business adoption.

Product Development & Delivery:

- Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise-grade product development, from conceptualization to deployment.

- Ensure robust backend systems, intuitive frontends, and scalable data pipelines are delivered to the highest standards.

- Champion agile methodologies, ensuring on-time, quality releases aligned with business priorities.

- Lead the transformation of early-stage AI initiatives into scalable internal tools and client-facing products.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across AI/ML, backend, frontend, data, and MLOps functions.

- Provide technical guidance on model development, system integration, user experience, data workflows, and deployment pipelines.

- Foster innovation, continuous learning, and best practices within the technology team.

- Collaborate with external tech partners, data scientists, and internal research/product teams to integrate AI capabilities into scalable workflows.

Governance & Excellence:

- Establish and enforce coding standards, architecture guidelines, and QA processes across the product ecosystem.

- Drive operational excellence in MLOps/LLMOps, model versioning, drift monitoring, and reproducibility.

- Promote a culture of collaboration, ownership, and accountability across all engineering disciplines.

Stakeholder Management:

- Collaborate with product management, business teams, and leadership to translate requirements into technology solutions.

- Act as a thought leader, presenting technology capabilities and innovations to internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology execution.

Qualifications:

- Master's in Computer Applications (MCA) is mandatory.

- 15+ years of experience in technology roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.

- Proven experience in AI/ML projects and product development.

- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Deep understanding of product development, software engineering, and application services.

Core Skills (Must Have):

- Strong expertise in Java and scalable product development.

- Experience building AI-based tools, models, and automation systems.

- Experience with Generative AI, RAG systems, vector DBs, and multi-modal data pipelines.

- Proven experience in building and scaling technology teams.

- Experience in transforming AI prototypes into scalable, productized offerings.
