The platform currently owns one K-12 school in the city of Chandigarh and intends to expand its footprint across the country through multiple approaches including play-school chains, K-12 franchisees and achieving exponential scale through a virtual school. It is set up by former investment banker and education entrepreneur. About You You are someone with excellent academic credentials with a desire to learn how to run a business; the domain of education is close to your heart and you wish to make an impact using your core understanding of the education ecosystem. You have taken risk and displayed exceptional achievement in a domain of education/entrepreneurship. You are a pre-MBA candidate or a fresh MBA passout from a Premier B-School who wishes to bring radical change to the education space, and help nurture thousands of children, the future of our nation. Evaluate various business opportunities which the platform is pursuing b. Identify key drivers, prepare business plan, prepare and own the financial models arriving at IRR sensitivities and produce relevant business / deal materials c. Interact with the business owners to arrive at a win-win structure d. Develop and train the operational team e. Liaise with potential investors for the new business vertical 2. Chief Business Officer of the First Portfolio Asset a. Owning the growth of the asset by looking at overall product offering, competitive positioning, marketing and pricing b. Managing the strategic finance of the asset; leading all interactions with banks for borrowings, prepare the financial model for the asset for a potential transaction and long-term growth plan c. Lead the school marketing team to get growth plan executed d. Providing valuable insights to the management for enhancing the efficiency of the systems and processes 3. Play School and K-12 Franchise Business a. Prepare a roadmap to launch a Finnish play-school chain in India b. Arrive at a feasible business structure, negotiate the agreements, achieve a financially viable business relationship; prepare the financial model and present insights on various scenarios c. Manage the initial few play schools to learn the operations in depth 4. Launchpad School (www.launchpadschool.org) a. Work with the founder to launch India's first virtual school enabling students to pursue Under-Graduation from world's best universities b. Prepare the Go-To-Market Strategy for the product along with granular implementation steps c. Be responsible for performance of the initial batch of students d. Travel to international universities, if required, to get insights into what it takes to get admissions in a reputed university Skills Required 1. Strong analytical skills 2.
