Marico - Manager - Supply Chain

The role oversees day-to-day plant operations including planning, procurement, storage, and dispatch, ensuring smooth material flow, process excellence, and timely delivery across the value chain.

Role & responsibilities :

- Lead and manage inbound (RM & PM procurement, receipts, storage) and outbound (dispatches, logistics) operations for the plant.

- Ensure timely sourcing and availability of Raw and Packing Materials as per production requirements while maintaining cost efficiency and supplier reliability.

- Oversee and optimize automated storage & retrieval systems (ASRS) for efficient material handling, traceability, and space utilization.

- Coordinate with Production and PPC teams to align material availability with production schedules and demand plans.

- Implement and support moulding technologies in coordination with the manufacturing team to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.

- Guide and implement 5S, TPM, TQM, and Six Sigma initiatives to improve supply chain performance.

- Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement in supply chain systems and procedures.

- Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, logistics partners, and government bodies to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

- Ensure adherence to statutory, safety, and quality norms across all supply chain functions.

- Own and manage the overall supply chain budget, monitoring actuals against planned targets.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives and projects across the supply chain function.

Preferred candidate profile :

- Strong communication skills (English & Hindi)

- Proficient in SAP, MS Office and EWM/WMS

- Expertise in RM & PM procurement, ASRS, and dispatch operations

- Knowledge of moulding technologies

- Understanding of production planning, inventory, and logistics

- Exposure to 5S, TPM, TQM & Six Sigma practices

- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and compliance knowledge

- Analytical mindset with focus on process improvement and cost efficiency

- Team leadership and coordination skills
