
Head of Sales & Business Development (SaaS)
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to Head the Sales and Business Development for Manupatras SaaS solutions [Compliance, Contract, Case, IPR Management].
This role requires a strategic and hands-on professional who can elevate our brand to new heights, drive market positioning, and ensure consistent revenue growth.
As the Head Sales and BD, you will be responsible for leading a team, managing nationwide P&L, and keeping a pulse on the competitive landscape through continuous market evaluation.
The ideal candidate should possess a go-getter attitude, technical expertise, and a proven track record in driving successful SaaS sales.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve Revenue Targets.
- Drive B2B sales, focusing on direct client acquisition and relationship building.
- Establish and implement strategies to position and brand SaaS solutions as market leaders.
- Continuously expand the client base by identifying and leveraging new opportunities.
- Experience in driving ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) and achieving aggressive growth targets.
- Expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, and sales conversion optimization.
Market Evaluation and Competitive Analysis
- Strong ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competition.
- Experience in identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion avenues.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales team and customer success team to exceed revenue goals.
- Set clear objectives and provide actionable feedback to ensure consistent performance.
- Ability to build a performance-driven culture that aligns with business objectives.
P&L Management
- Oversee nationwide profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities for the SaaS division.
- Drive financial performance through revenue growth and effective cost management.
Executive Presence & Strong Communication Skills
- Ability to represent the company at industry events, conferences, and key customer meetings.
- Strong executive presence with excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Comfort in engaging with senior leadership and board members when required.
Customer-Centric Approach & Relationship Management
- Strong track record of building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers (CXOs, VPs, Procurement Heads, etc.
- Ability to understand customer pain points and deliver tailored SaaS solutions that drive value.
- Expertise in customer lifecycle management and retention strategies.
Product Management & Technical Expertise
- Collaborate with the product management team to align sales strategies with product development.
- Use technical expertise to effectively articulate product value and address client needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: B.Tech/B.E + MBA from a reputed institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of overall sales experience, with at least the last 3 years in SaaS/online sales.
- Proven track record in corporate selling, direct sales, and team leadership.
- Strong experience in managing nationwide P&L.
- A proactive, go-getter attitude with the ability to thrive in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
- Technically sound, with the ability to understand and communicate SaaS solutions effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends and competitor activities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
