Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing / Production professional from the chemical industry to support plant operations for a fixed-term engagement. The role will focus on production management, process optimization, safety, and quality compliance within a chemical manufacturing environment.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong hands-on plant experience who can contribute to operational stability and manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day manufacturing and production operations at the chemical plant

- Ensure strict adherence to EHS, safety, quality, and regulatory standards

- Monitor and improve process efficiency, yield, and productivity

- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and utilities teams

- Handle production planning, execution, and performance reporting

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (process optimization, cost reduction, Lean / Six Sigma)

- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, and plant documentation requirements

- Support internal audits, reviews, and regulatory inspections

- Provide technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for process issues

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline

- Hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing / production operations

- Exposure to chemical plant operations (batch and/or continuous processes)

- Strong understanding of process safety, EHS, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices

- Experience working with DCS / PLC / SAP / ERP / MES systems (preferred)

- Background in specialty chemicals, industrial chemicals, or petrochemicals is an advantage

Contract & Engagement Details:

- Fixed-term contract role (10 months to 1 year)

- Full-time on-site role based in Kolkata

- Immediate or short-notice joiners preferred
