Job Purpose: The Manufacturing Head - COO will be responsible for leading complete multi-unit plant operations, driving operational efficiency, maximizing profitability, and implementing world-class quality and safety standards across all facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plant Operations & Profitability: Lead end-to-end plant operations across manufacturing units including Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Dispatch, and Administration. Drive overall operational cost control and P&L performance.

- Operational Excellence & Process Control: Execute, review, and continuously optimize operational systems and processes. Develop methods, procedures, and strategies to improve operational effectiveness and asset utilization.

- Cost & Energy Optimization: Implement aggressive cost-saving, energy-saving, and waste-reduction measures to keep departmental expenses aligned with budget targets.

- Quality Assurance & Standards: Lead implementation and adherence to quality standards across sites (ISO 9000 / 14000 / 18000). Focus on eliminating rejections, rework, and customer returns.

- Maintenance & Asset Optimization: Partner with engineering teams to resolve technical breakdowns, eliminate process bottlenecks, and enhance production capacity through effective maintenance strategies.

- Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Minimize obsolete, surplus, and scrap material through rigorous monitoring. Participate in component/tooling cost estimation and vendor development.

- New Product Development: Oversee continuous design and development of new products while ensuring strictly on-time delivery to customers.

People Management & Leadership:

- Provide strategic leadership and daily supervision to plant management teams to achieve organizational goals.

- Mentor and coach teams in conflict resolution, problem-solving, root-cause analysis (RCA), and managerial skills.

- Manage performance tracking and accountability in line with corporate guidelines and policies.

- Maintain 100% compliance with corporate systems and drive continuous improvement in analytical reporting and reviews.

Requisite & Desired Skills:

- Industry Experience: Proven leadership experience as a Plant Head / Operations Head within the Aluminium Extrusion industry.

- Management & Strategy: Strong command over budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and P&L management.

- Technical Expertise: Thorough understanding of ISO standards (9000 / 14000 / 18000), Lean principles, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

- Leadership: Exceptional team building, decision-making, and people management skills capable of leading large operational teams.

- Systems & Tools: Strong proficiency in business ERP platforms and office productivity software.

Candidate Profile:

- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (MBA or Post Graduation preferable).

- Relevant Experience: 20 - 30 Years (with extensive leadership experience in aluminium manufacturing/extrusion).
