Position Overview:

The Manager PQE & NPD Quality will be responsible for ensuring product and process quality across multiple manufacturing units by driving standardization, validation, and continuous improvement in all aspects of plastics processing and new product development (NPD).

The role demands a strong technical foundation in plastic molding technologies, data-driven problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration with operations and R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Standardization & Quality Assurance:

- Identify and standardize Critical to Quality (CTQ) process parameters for all major customers and SKUs (e.g., Mould temperature, Pressure, Cycle time, etc.

- Conduct process variation and capability studies using control charts, SPC tools, and PFMEA.

- Develop and maintain process standards for post-molding operations such as Labelling, Sleeving, Wadding, etc.

- Lead process audits across multiple units and ensure compliance with established standards.

NPD Quality & Validation:

- Partner with Technical SMEs during product development to define AQLs (Acceptable Quality Levels).

- Support 4M (Man, Machine, Method, Material) change validations to ensure Right-First-Time NPD launches.

- Drive material standardization (including RG, PCR, and new material compositions) through trials and validations.

- Ensure timely and accurate quality validation of new molds, materials, and design changes.

Process Excellence & Problem Solving:

- Conduct process audits across multi-site and multi-process environments (ISBM, EBM, IBM, CCM, Husky, etc.

- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, FMEA, and 7 QC Tools for process improvement and troubleshooting.

- Analyze data trends and process performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve critical customer complaints using simulation studies, process verification, and root cause analysis.

Key Competencies:

- In-depth knowledge of Plastics Processing and Molding Technologies (ISBM, EBM, IBM, CCM, Husky, etc.

- Strong understanding of NPD validation, process audits, and manufacturing quality systems.

- Proficiency in Six Sigma / Problem Solving tools, Design & Process FMEA, and SPC.

- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

- Proven track record in driving process standardization, quality improvements, and customer satisfaction.

- Strong communication and team collaboration skills across technical and operational functions.

Educational Qualification:

- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial preferred).

- Postgraduate in Plastics Technology (mandatory or highly preferred).

Experience:

- Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in the plastics manufacturing industry, preferably in process quality and NPD functions.

- Exposure to multi-site manufacturing setups and process audits is desirable.
