About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Medical Oncologist to join our clinical team as a Consultant / Junior Consultant. The role involves delivering comprehensive cancer care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with various malignancies. The candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage patients with different types of cancers using evidence-based medical oncology practices
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy
- Monitor treatment response and manage side effects or complications effectively
- Coordinate with radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists for integrated cancer care
- Conduct outpatient (OPD) consultations and manage inpatient (IPD) cases
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and treatment documentation
- Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in oncology treatments and protocols
- Participate in tumor boards, clinical meetings, and academic discussions
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and quality standards
Qualifications:
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
- MD / DNB in Radiation Oncology
- DM in Medical Oncology (mandatory)
Experience:
- 0 to 5 years of experience in Medical Oncology
- Fresh DM graduates with strong academic credentials are encouraged to apply
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical knowledge in oncology and cancer management
- Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols and modern oncology treatments
- Excellent patient care and counseling skills
- Strong decision-making and analytical abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
