Description:

Unit Link Dealing team perform daily dealing activities for PAC and PPL funds that are traded on daily basis. Like placing trades, making fund transfers to different fund managers via IATs and TTs, NAV and units reconciliations for all the funds, confirming deals in pControl, etc.

This role is responsible to manage all the daily, weekly and monthly activities for dealing of unit linked funds for a smooth trades life cycle including trade approvals, placements, liquidity checks, Internal and external payment to fund managers and reconciliation of internal and external funds prices without affecting SLAs. Moreover, support in Internal/External Audits, pControl UAT testing, prepare training plans for new joiner, frequently interact with stakeholders, support Projects and process improvements.

Job Description:

- Manage all the daily activities for dealing of unit linked funds for a smooth trades cycle including trade placement, payment to fund managers and reconciliation of internal and external funds prices without affecting SLA.

Primary Key Responsibilities (Top 3-5 KRA):

- Place trades for unit linked funds via EMX or over fax before cut-off time.

- Pass liquidity adjustments for the funds on a daily basis.

- Raise IAT and TTs for movement of monies in relation to dealing.

- Perform daily morning and afternoon reconciliations of outputs from pControl that are issued to State Street/M&G.

Responsibilities:

- Load deal confirmations from EMX/IFDS to pControl for prior days trades to confirm the trades on pControl.

- Post Journals for daily internal and external accounts payments.

- Ensure prior days prices have loaded to pControl overnight each morning.

- Oversee PPL GILP range of funds dealing and conduct price checks for any cash exceptions.

- Communicate with fund managers spread across the globe for unit price or other information needed.

- Operate or assist with other Daily/Weekly/Monthly tasks, interacting with stakeholders for approvals.

- Support stakeholders for any ad-hoc request.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls to support improvement of the overall process.

- Ensure daily activities are completed within SLA by planning and scheduling work efficiently.

Knowledge & Skills (Must Have):

- Confidence & excellent communication.

- Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation & externally.

- Time Management and Workload Planning Skills

- Good interpersonal skills.

- Work under strict deadline environment.

- Good in MS-Excel and power point.

- Good understanding of the business and the external financial environment in which it operates.

Knowledge & Skills (Additional):

- Knowledge of EMX & Payflow will be an added advantage

Experience:

- Graduate/Post Graduate preferably from Fund Accounting with 2-4 years of experience.

Educational Qualification:

- Graduate in Commerce or Accounting & Finance/ Masters in Finance with considerable post qualification experience in Fund Accounting.
