Job Title: Managing Director

Work Location: West Bengal

Experience Range: 18-25 years

Job Summary:

We seek a seasoned and visionary leader with 18-25 years of experience to drive our chemical manufacturing company's growth, profitability, and sustainability. The MD will lead overall strategy, operations, marketing, procurement, and innovation, ensuring excellence in all aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Strategy & Growth:

a) Develop and implement business strategy, aligning with company vision and goals.

b) Drive growth through market expansion, product development, and strategic partnerships.

c) Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics.

d) Lead digital transformation and technology adoption initiatives.

2) Chemical Manufacturing:

a) Oversee production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance.

b) Optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.

c) Ensure safety, health, and environmental standards are met.

d) Implement Industry 4.0 initiatives and operational excellence programs.

3) Marketing & Sales:

a) Develop and execute marketing strategies to expand customer base and increase sales.

b) Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.

c) Identify new business opportunities and market segments.

d) Lead brand building and reputation management efforts.

4) Procurement:

a) Manage procurement to ensure raw material availability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

b) Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.

c) Mitigate supply chain risks and optimize logistics.

d) Implement procurement best practices and digital tools.

5) Leadership & Team Management:

a) Build and lead a high-performing team, promoting excellence and safety.

b) Develop and mentor senior leaders.

c) Ensurse effective communication and stakeholder management.

d) Drive cultural transformation and employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements:

1. Proven track record in chemical manufacturing, marketing, and procurement.

2. Strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics.

3. Strategic leadership and vision.

4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

5. B.E / B.Tech (Chemical) OR MBA/PGDM or equivalent, with a strong chemical/technical background preferred.

6. 18-25 years of experience, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in the chemical industry, with a focus on e.g., specialty chemicals


2. Strong financial acumen and business acumen.

3. Digital literacy and experience with data-driven decision-making.

4. Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills.

5. Experience in managing large-scale projects and transformations.

6. Strong network and relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders.
