The organization is a boutique law firm specializing in the areas of Corporate International Tax, Transfer Pricing, GST, Customs & Trade, with expertise in litigation services, controversy management, strategic transaction advisory and policy. The Firm advises and supports clients on tax litigation, tax investigations, Alternate Dispute Resolution (including APA, MAP & Advance Ruling) and acts as expert witness on treaty and transfer pricing law. The Firm specializes in providing strategic insights and legal advice on complex tax issues, including pre-litigation and litigation support and representation. Most professionals are dual qualified with legal and tax advisory expertise and a deep understanding of specified industries in the areas of taxation.

Position Title: Managing Associate

Reporting To: Principal Associate or Partner

Location: New Delhi

Qualification: Lawyer or Chartered Accountant or both

Role:

Managing Associate will be responsible for managing client engagements which will be related to Direct Taxes (Corporate tax, Transfer Pricing and International tax) and other related laws.

Responsibilities:

- Interaction with Partners and briefing Partners on the client engagements.

- Managing and guiding the team.

- Preparation of litigation matters, including briefing of Counsel.

- Researching and preparing briefing notes/ charts/ paper books for income tax matters before ITAT, High Court and Supreme Court.

- Assist in drafting client responses and opinion in the Direct Taxes (Corporate tax, Transfer Pricing and International tax) advisory matters and other related laws.

- Assist in transaction related assignments.

- Assisting and working on research papers, thought leadership, articles, etc.

- Any other support related to the firms commitments.

- Comfortable with travelling for firm commitments.

Experience & Skills:

- 5+ years of experience in Direct Tax (Corporate tax, Transfer Pricing and International tax) with a reputed law firm or professional services firm.

- Analytical, Research skills, along with good communication and soft skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.

- Maintains a harmonious and collaborative relationship with other team members, clients and other stakeholders.
