Manager - Vendor Development

Description: We are looking for an experienced Vendor Development Manager to lead supplier identification, development, and performance management initiatives. The role focuses on building a strong vendor ecosystem that supports cost optimization, quality improvement, and supply continuity across categories. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and cross-functional coordination experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop new vendors in line with business and sourcing strategies

- Drive vendor performance management through KPIs related to cost, quality, delivery, and compliance

- Lead cost reduction and value engineering initiatives with existing and new suppliers

- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and long-term agreements with vendors

- Collaborate with procurement, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure seamless vendor integration

- Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and risk evaluations

- Develop alternate sourcing strategies to reduce dependency and mitigate supply risks

- Ensure adherence to statutory, ethical, ESG, and company compliance standards

- Monitor market trends, supplier innovations, and raw material cost movements

- Resolve vendor-related escalations and drive continuous improvement initiatives
