Required experience and skills:

- At least six years of relevant business valuation experience, including sustained team leadership, independent technical review and direct client ownership.

- Deep review capability in a primary valuation area, with sufficient breadth to scope wider engagements and engage specialist reviewers when required.

- Ability to resolve complex client and audit issues, develop managers, plan resources and manage delivery economics without compromising quality.

Qualifications:

A degree in finance, accounting, economics, commerce or a related discipline, with demonstrated valuation capability. MBA or MS Finance, CA, CPA, CFA progress or charter, and relevant valuation credentials are advantages. For quantitative roles, qualifications in mathematics, statistics or financial engineering are also relevant. Selection is based on capability; a premier B-school or Big Four background is not required.

Added advantages:

Experience across multiple tax and financial reporting valuation areas, specialist MCS or complex securities review, US client development, dedicated-client delivery and support for proposals or transitions are advantages.

Responsibilities and delivery expectations:

- Own the delivery plan, quality expectations and client relationship for assigned accounts; agree scope, timelines and escalation arrangements.

- Provide senior technical review, challenge material judgements and ensure valuation conclusions are supported and communicated clearly.

- Lead significant client and auditor discussions; coordinate specialist input and resolve issues before authorised release.

- Plan staffing and review capacity, develop Assistant and Associate Managers, and contribute to recruitment and succession decisions.

- Monitor revenue delivery, engagement budgets, utilisation, rework and margins; support pricing, scope changes and account growth.

- Maintain technical standards and improve approved models, reports and training; support client transitions and business development as required.

Valuation coverage:

Engagements may include business enterprise valuation (BEV), Gift and Estate (G&E), purchase price allocation (PPA), 409A, share-based payments, portfolio valuation, impairment and complex securities. Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) is part of the complex securities toolkit. Assignment depends on the role and the client portfolio. Expertise in every service is not required. The hiring discussion will identify the primary specialism and the expected level of execution or review.

Quality and review responsibility:

Own account-level quality and the documented approval process. Sign-off and external release are exercised only within delegated authority and client arrangements; specialist work requires a qualified technical reviewer.
