US Tax Manager - 1120 C
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced US Tax Manager - 1120 C to lead and manage US corporate tax engagements, with a strong focus on Form 1120, consolidated C corporations, and multi-state taxation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in US corporate tax compliance, tax provisions, review processes, and client management, preferably gained within a Big 4 or CPA firm environment. The role will involve managing complex corporate tax engagements, reviewing tax returns and provisions, providing technical guidance to the team, and ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage US corporate tax engagements involving Form 1120/1065 - US Corporation Income Tax Returns.
- Prepare, review, and finalize complex corporate tax returns for C corporations, including consolidated tax returns.
- Manage multi-state corporate tax compliance, including state income tax returns, apportionment, nexus, and related filings.
- Review corporate tax calculations, workpapers, supporting schedules, and tax adjustments for accuracy and compliance.
- Handle tax provisions and support clients with provision-related requirements and analysis.
- Research and interpret changes in US federal and state tax laws and assess their impact on clients.
- Provide tax planning and advisory support to corporate clients and identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
- Review complex tax positions and ensure appropriate documentation and support.
- Manage multiple client engagements, deliverables, deadlines, and priorities.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients and address technical and operational tax-related queries.
- Coordinate with onshore teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of engagements.
- Review work prepared by Associates and Senior Associates and provide technical guidance and feedback.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, workflows, automation, and overall engagement efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, professional requirements, and client-specific processes.
- Support business development and client relationship management activities when required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in US Corporate Tax.
- Strong hands-on experience with Form 1120/1065 and C corporation taxation.
- Experience with consolidated C corporation tax returns.
- Strong understanding of US federal and multi-state corporate taxation.
- Experience with tax provisions and corporate tax accounting.
- Prior experience working with a Big 4, accounting firm, or CPA firm is preferred.
- Proven experience in team leadership, review, and client management.
- Strong knowledge of US tax compliance, tax research, and corporate tax regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:- CPA qualification or progress toward CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience with Big 4 or leading CPA/accounting firms.

- Exposure to tax technology, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
