Assurance Manager Audit & Assurance | Financial Services | Mumbai & Hyderabad

About the Role:

A large global accounting and advisory firm is seeking an Assurance Manager to join its Audit practice across its Mumbai and Hyderabad offices. The role is suited to a qualified CA or CPA with hands-on US audit and assurance experience in financial services, looking to lead multiple engagements in a structured, high-growth environment.

- CA or CPA qualification - non-negotiable; applications without this credential will not be considered

- US audit is non negotiable of Financial Services Clients

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate to plan audit objectives and determine audit strategy across multiple engagements

- Lead multiple audit engagements simultaneously, managing competing priorities and timelines

- Review, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to US GAAP and US auditing standards

- Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively

- Understand and manage firm risk across audits and proposals

- Supervise, train, and mentor staff during engagements

- Assess performance of staff for engagement evaluations

Basic Qualifications - All Mandatory

- CA or CPA qualification - non-negotiable; applications without this credential will not be considered

- 5+ years of progressive audit and assurance experience with direct exposure to US audit standards and US GAAP reporting frameworks

- Demonstrated experience conducting or leading audits for US-based or US-reporting financial services clients - this is a hard requirement

- Experience with financial services clients including broker dealers, private equity and venture capital funds, hedge funds, and funds of funds

- 1+ year of supervisory experience managing audit staff across live engagements

Preferred Experience:

- Prior experience at a Big 4 or large international accounting firm conducting US audits

- Familiarity with PCAOB standards and SEC reporting requirements

- Experience managing client relationships independently at Manager level
