Key Responsibilities: - Manage tax operations for multiple fund jurisdictions, including accurate computation of tax liabilities and distributable income. - Oversee daily, monthly, and annual UK fund tax reporting, ensuring completeness and control adherence. - Review and authorize corporation tax, income tax, VAT, and investor reporting for various fund types. - Supervise a team, monitor task execution, and resolve escalated issues proactively. - Coordinate and support new client onboarding, fund mergers, and service changes with minimal disruption. - Ensure timely delivery of regulatory filings, and support internal audits and inspections. - Maintain and improve tax standing data, accounting fund lists, and client tax monitors. - Stay updated on tax regulatory developments and lead internal training where necessary. - Partner with upstream/downstream teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure service quality. - Lead and inspire the team to meet individual and collective objectives aligned with HSBC values. Qualifications & Skills: - CA qualified with 10+ years of experience in Fund Taxation - In-depth understanding of UK corporate tax, fund structures, and tax reporting for collective investment schemes - Strong leadership and people management skills - Experience in working across BFSI domain, especially in custody, fund administration, or investment management - Sound knowledge of tax regulations, risk controls, and operational best practices - Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills - Prior experience with automation, process reengineering, and change management is desirable
