Reporting To: Associate Director - Treasury

Role Overview

This role manages the end-to-end treasury operations of the GIFT City entity under Synechron Global Treasury IFSC Pvt Ltd.

Responsibilities include liquidity management, fund raising, intercompany lending, FX risk management, investment operations, treasury accounting, and monthly MIS. The role also leads a team of two junior treasury professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Liquidity Management:

- Manage central pooling of surplus funds across group entities.

- Optimize returns and reduce borrowing/cost of funds.

2. Fund Raising:

- Raise funds from financial institutions and lenders within GIFT City.

- Manage corporate financing requirements and lines of credit.

3. Intercompany Lending:

- Structure, monitor, and manage intercompany credit facilities.

- Optimize capital allocation across Synechron group entities.

4. FX Risk Management:

- Execute hedging strategies for FX exposures.

- Monitor global FX positions and hedge performance.

5. Investment Management:

- Invest surplus funds under IFSCA-permitted instruments.

6. Acquisition Financing:

- Support treasury requirements for group acquisitions.

- Potential involvement in holding-company treasury functions.

7. Treasury Accounting:

- Manage monthly accounting for treasury transactions.

- Ensure accuracy for intercompany loans, investments, and FX hedges.

8. MIS & Reporting:

- Prepare and review monthly treasury MIS for management.

- Support regulatory reporting requirements.

9. Team Leadership;

- Lead and mentor two junior treasury team members.

- Ensure compliance and timely execution of treasury deliverables.

Skills & Competencies:

- Deep understanding of corporate treasury operations, liquidity tools, lending instruments, and FX.

- Experience in treasury accounting, reconciliations, and monthly closings.

- Strong analytical and leadership capabilities.

- Familiarity with IFSCA rules and GIFT City framework is a strong advantage.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
