Manager - Training (Steel Industry)

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Needs Assessment
- Lead the overall training strategy in alignment with organizational goals and business needs.
- Identify training and development needs for employees and contractual staff using performance reviews, skill gap analysis, and departmental requests.
- Conduct training needs assessment based on plant operations and requirements.
- Develop and manage annual and monthly training plans to meet assessed needs.
Program Design & Delivery:
- Oversee development and quality of all training modules and programs.
- Design and develop training modules tailored to specific employee needs.
- Facilitate both functional and behavioral training programs to ensure effective skill and knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate with external training vendorsselect, negotiate, and monitor performance.
Training Effectiveness & Evaluation:
- Establish and maintain robust systems for measuring training ROI and driving continuous improvement.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of all training programs to evaluate effectiveness.
- Utilize analysis methods to assess training impact and identify improvement areas.
Performance Improvement & Operational Excellence:
- Drive initiatives linking training outcomes with operational efficiency and quality improvements.
- Analyze delays exceeding 10 minutes to identify root causes and propose continuous improvement (Kizen) suggestions.
- Coordinate and compile data for Education & Training Pillar activities within lean manufacturing or continuous improvement frameworks.
- Lead internal audits related to training and lean practices.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all training activities and records comply with internal and external standards.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of training records as per ISO, IATF, and AS9001 standards.
- Organize and manage an accessible training database.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in HR, Business Administration, or relevant field.
- Proven experience in training managementideally in manufacturing or steel industry.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, ISO/IATF/AS9001 compliance.
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
