Manager - Training Operation - Aviation Industry

Role Overview:

You will plan, organize, and manage all training programs at an Approved Training Organization (ATO) that trains aviation professionals, including cabin crew. You will make sure that everything runs smoothly, follows official rules, and meets company standards.

Main Responsibilities (Explained Simply):

Manage training activities:

- Oversee all day-to-day work related to training at the ATO.

Plan and schedule training:

- Make sure training sessions (especially wet training, which includes practical sessions like with cabin crew) are well scheduled and run properly.

Hire instructors:

- Help recruit and onboard trainers.

Deal with authorities:

- Communicate with DGCA (aviation regulator) to get or renew approvals/licenses.

Work with sales & finance:

- Coordinate with the sales team to track training capacity and with finance to sort out payments.

Keep records updated:

- Maintain proper files and documents for students and trainers.

Check eligibility:

- Ensure students meet all the required qualifications before training.

Prepare training documents:

- Create necessary paperwork like schedules, forms, etc.

Welcome and guide students:

- Brief students at the start and end of their training.

Office tasks:

- Help with overall office coordination at the training center.

Conduct exams:

- Act as exam supervisor during theory tests.

Help students:

- Act as the go-to person for students during their training.

- Plan refresher training:

- Organize repeat/renewal training for instructors.

Stay updated with rules:

- Keep track of new DGCA rules and ensure the training stays compliant.

Check instructor licenses:

- Make sure all instructor licenses and approvals are up-to-date.

Other duties: Support the Head of Training with other tasks when needed.
