Position: Trade Settlement Manager

Location: India

Experience: 4 - 6 years

Job Type: Full-time / Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Operations & Settlement Management:

- Oversee and manage end-to-end trade operations and settlement processes specifically for Cash and Futures & Options (F&O) segments.

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of trades, adherence to settlement cycles, and resolution of any settlement discrepancies.

Client Onboarding & Compliance:

- Manage comprehensive client registration processes, including Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and documentation.

- Ensure accurate and timely updates of client participant (CP) codes and adherence to all exchange compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination:

- Act as a central point of coordination between clients, custodians, various stock exchanges (NSE, BSE), and internal departments (e.g, front office, risk, finance) to ensure seamless trade processing and query resolution.

System Enhancement & Implementation:

- Actively participate in the testing, validation, and implementation of new back-office tools, systems, and software updates to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

- Provide feedback and insights for system improvements based on operational needs.

Reporting & Reconciliation:

- Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to trade volumes, settlements, and operational performance.

- Conduct regular reconciliation of client accounts, brokerage statements, and fund settlements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies proactively.

Compliance & Risk Monitoring:

- Monitor all aspects of brokerage calculation, fund movements, and settlement processes to ensure strict adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards.

- Maintain a strong compliance framework for all trade settlement activities, escalating any deviations or risks appropriately.

Skills & Expertise Required:

- Operational Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on, progressive experience in back-office operations specifically within institutional equities.

- Domain Knowledge: Deep and comprehensive understanding of trade settlement processes, clearing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks governing capital markets in India.

- Compliance Acumen: Strong knowledge of exchange compliance norms, SEBI regulations, and other relevant regulatory processes impacting trade operations.

- Communication & Client Handling: Excellent client-handling capabilities with strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using NSE and BSE trading/settlement platforms, advanced MS Excel for data analysis and reporting, and familiarity with other relevant back-office and reporting tools.

- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to navigate complex operational issues.

- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks related to trade processing and reconciliation.
