Role Overview
- The role supports the development and execution of trade marketing initiatives to increase category growth, visibility, and sales performance across General Trade, Modern Trade, and Foodservice (HoReCa) channels. The candidate will work closely with sales teams, distributors, agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure strong in-market execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Marketing & Channel Development- Assist in executing channel-wise trade marketing plans aligned with business objectives.- Drive retail activation programs, in-store visibility, and support new product launches.- Work with sales teams to ensure trade programs are implemented effectively.
- Retail Visibility & Merchandising- Coordinate deployment of POS materials, freezer branding, display setups, and activation kits.- Monitor merchandising standards through regular market visits.- Work with local vendors/agencies for timely delivery and installation of branding assets.
- Promotions & Scheme Execution- Support rollout of trade schemes, retailer contests, discounts, and seasonal promotions.- Track participation, execution quality, and post-activity results.
- Sales Support & Distributor Coordination- Work closely with distributors and sales representatives to resolve in-market challenges.- Track stock availability and secondary sales performance to ensure healthy product movement.
- Market Insights & Intelligence- Monitor competitors' promotions, visibility, pricing, and new product initiatives.- Gather field feedback and share actionable insights with the sales and marketing team.
- Reporting & Analytics- Maintain dashboards and reports on promotion performance, market activation results, and ROI.- Support budget tracking and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Key Skills & Competencies - Understanding of FMCG trade channels (GT/MT/HoReCa).- Strong coordination and execution capabilities.- Analytical mindset with comfort in MS Excel, dashboards, and performance tracking.- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.- Willingness to travel for market visits and activations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate or MBA/PGDM preferred in Marketing, Business, Sales, or related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of Trade Marketing, Channel Marketing, Brand Activation, or FMCG Sales experience.
- Experience in ice cream, beverages, dairy, confectionery, or impulse FMCG categories is an advantage
