Manager - Trade Finance

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Trade Finance Operations Manage end-to-end trade finance activities including issuance, amendment, and negotiation of Letters of Credit (LC) and Bank Guarantees (BG).

- Handle import and export documentation including shipping bills, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bill of lading, and insurance papers.

- Monitor trade-related payments, collections, bill discounting, and foreign remittance processing. Liaise with banks for trade transactions, documentation approvals, and negotiation of terms.

- Documentation & Compliance Verify and validate trade documents ensuring compliance with UCP 600, URC 522, FEMA, RBI regulations, and ICC guidelines. Review LC terms and ensure adherence to contractual, regulatory, and banking norms.

- Maintain accurate transaction documentation and audit-ready records. Ensure all documentary discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.

- Risk Control & Governance Assess risks related to trade transactions, currency exposure, credit, and compliance deviations. Implement risk mitigation strategies for trade settlements, banking limits, and credit exposure.

- Monitor credit lines, banking arrangements, and trade finance cost optimization. Banking & Stakeholder Coordination Work closely with internal units (procurement, commercial, sales, logistics, accounts) to ensure smooth trade workflow.

- Deal with banks for trade finance products, negotiation of charges, and credit limit structuring. Support treasury operations in FX hedging, currency management, and payment planning.

- Process Enhancement Review and streamline trade finance processes to improve cost efficiency and turnaround time.

- Implement digital systems for documentation, LC monitoring, and workflow automation.
