Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Manager Taxation to manage the organizations direct and indirect tax compliance, assessments, audits, tax litigation, and advisory requirements. The role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance, managing tax authorities and external consultants, identifying tax risks and planning opportunities, and keeping the organization aligned with changes in tax laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise across Income Tax, GST, Transfer Pricing, Customs, Import/Export taxation, and tax audits, along with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end Direct Tax and Income Tax compliance, including income tax returns, advance tax, TDS/TCS, and related statutory requirements.

- Handle Income Tax assessments, scrutiny proceedings, notices, appeals, and litigation and coordinate with tax consultants and authorities.

- Manage end-to-end GST compliance, including GST returns, Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation, audits, assessments, refunds, and litigation.

- Ensure compliance with e-Invoicing, E-Way Bills, LUT, GST refunds, and other GST-related requirements.

- Support Transfer Pricing compliance, including documentation, Form 3CEB, benchmarking, assessments, and related submissions.

- Coordinate Tax Audits, Statutory Audits, and tax-related information requirements with internal teams and external consultants.

- Manage Import and Export taxation, including Customs Duty, IGST, DGFT-related compliance, and supporting documentation.

- Review tax implications of business transactions, contracts, and commercial arrangements and provide appropriate tax inputs to management.

- Identify tax planning opportunities, compliance gaps, and tax risks and recommend mitigation measures.

- Monitor changes in tax laws, notifications, circulars, regulations, and judicial developments and assess their impact on the business.

- Maintain accurate tax records, reconciliations, workings, returns, assessments, notices, and supporting documentation.

- Coordinate with Finance, Accounts, Commercial, Supply Chain, Legal, and other functions on tax-related matters.

- Support tax positions and documentation during internal reviews, external audits, assessments, and litigation.

- Review tax reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding tax issues and mismatches.

- Provide tax-related inputs for new business initiatives, transactions, investments, and cross-border activities.

- Assist in developing and strengthening tax processes, controls, governance, and compliance frameworks.

- Manage relationships with tax consultants, advisors, auditors, banks, customs authorities, and other external stakeholders.

- Ensure timely closure of tax notices, assessments, audit observations, and other statutory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 4 - 9 years of experience in Taxation, preferably in a corporate or industry environment.

- Strong hands-on experience in Direct Tax, Income Tax, GST, and related compliance.

- Experience handling Income Tax returns, TDS/TCS, advance tax, scrutiny, assessments, notices, and appeals.

- Strong experience in GST returns, ITC reconciliation, audits, assessments, refunds, e-Invoicing, E-Way Bills, and LUT.

- Working knowledge of Transfer Pricing documentation, Form 3CEB, benchmarking, and assessments.

- Experience coordinating Tax Audit, Statutory Audit, consultants, and tax authorities.

- Good understanding of Customs Duty, IGST, DGFT, and import/export taxation.

- Strong knowledge of applicable Indian tax laws, rules, notifications, and regulatory requirements.

- Experience identifying tax risks, planning opportunities, and compliance issues.

- Strong analytical, reconciliation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

- Good stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across Finance and business functions.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/tax compliance systems.

- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a compliance-driven environment.

- Professional qualification such as CA is preferred, particularly for candidates handling broad direct and indirect tax responsibilities.
