Manager Taxation & Financial Accounting

We are currently looking to close a Manager Taxation & Financial Accounting position with the topmost FMCG Conglomerate in India. The position is based in New Delhi.

Role Purpose:

The role holder is responsible for managing and overseeing Taxation operations along with some Financial reporting oversee for the Group Companies and play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance- Both DT & IDT (Preferably DT) and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting and Income Tax Compliance:

- Supervision of Income Tax Compliance and GST Compliance.

- Reponsible for Income tax Assessments, Litigations and Liasioning with Consultants

- Supervision in periodic financial closing, including supervision/preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and other financial reports.

- Supervision of day-to-day Banking and Accounting operations of the Multiple Companies

- Working and Expert Knowledge of Multiple accounting software such as Oracle, Tally etc.

- Oversee the complete financial reporting for few Group Companies

- Monitor changes in tax regulations and advise the team on their impact on business operations

- Preparation of Monthly Direct Tax tracker for the top management and Audit Committee.

- Internal process improvement and drafting of revised SOPs for the improvement in the Accounting processes

- Cash Flow Management on need basis.

- Budgeting and Monthly Profit Analysis

- Financial Risks and Control Management

- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants and regulatory bodies, ensuring all financial practices are complying

- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support cross-border functional initiatives.

2. GST Compliance & Taxation:

- Supervise and file all statutory GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C)

- Conduct GST input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B and books.

- Assist in managing GST audits, assessments, and responding to departmental queries and notices.

- Maintain documentation for GST refunds, letters of undertaking (LUT), and advance rulings

- Post GST-related journal entries in accounting systems (output GST, ITC, RCM)

- Reconcile GST payable and receivable accounts with return filings

- Analyze the impact of GST on revenue, procurement, and vendor payments

Critical Skills & Experience Required:

- Must be a Chartered Accountant

- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in finance or Taxation with Big 4s/top tier firms or Industry

- Minimum industry experience of 2 years

- Understanding of Income tax Laws, GST law, rules, and latest notifications/circulars

- Knowledge of Indian tax laws, Companies Act, and accounting standards (Ind AS) can be added advantage.

- Excellent in MS Excel (lookups, pivots, reconciliations)

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and good communication skills
