JOB PURPOSE :&nbsp; Comply with direct and indirect tax statutory requirements across all group entities and provide tax-efficient solutions to conduct business transactions KEY RESULT AREAS (KRAs) :&nbsp; PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :&nbsp; 1.Direct and Indirect Tax Liabilities Determination - Determines direct and indirect tax liabilities and develops tax-efficient solutions for business transactions - To review tenders and suggest best tax efficient position of group. Calculations of margin for intercompany billing for services. - Calculations of intercompany bareboat/time charter rates as per Transfer Pricing Rules. - Opinion on funding and restructuring of group companies. Taxation for Corporate and Individual. - Comply with direct and indirect tax payment on timely basis including withholding tax. - To ensure that all statutory filing of returns and statements with various government departments. This includes Corporate Tax Return (India and UK), Wealth Tax Return, Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing Audit, Tonnage Tax Audit, RBI return and Corporate Tax Return of subsidiaries. - Final review of Tax Returns of Subsidiaries - Monitors and checks GST return - Liaise with tax consultants and Income tax department for replying the notices and production of documents during the scrutiny assessment (in India and Abroad) 2.Compliance with Tax updates and new development - Upkeep and update the recent changes in the laws and implementation of the same. - Guide departments in conducting transactions in compliance with tax requirements and new developments / amendments. 3.Statutory Compliance - Comply with statutory filing with other regulatory department like P.F., DFCEC, FIEO, ECB return. - Tonnage Tax Returns with D.G. Shipping 4.Payroll for floating and rig staff - Defines ship and rig staff payroll processes and SAP configuration requirements - Supervises payroll for floating and rig staff and compliance with labor law - Handles various income tax queries of floating staff - Checks Form 16 and undertakes dispatch of the same - Implements various amendments made in Union budget - Continuous effort to improve the process. Analyses for cost improvement in payroll area. 5.Financial Statements Review and MIS Report Preparation and Payments authorization - Reviews financial statements and prepares MIS reports from a tax point of view - Supervise Accounts of Greatship Global Holdings, Mauritius and filing of tax returns. - Supervise accounts of Gratuity Trust and filing of returns for the same. - Reviewing the accounts of Subsidiary companies - Approving remittance advices to vendors 6.People and Departmental Administration - Manages performance and development of team members - Maintain harmony and good co-ordination among team members for better co-operation - Provides timely feedback to team about their work - Keeps tabs on various statutory developments / amendments; Discusses them with Subordinates and works toward making sure that all the updates and new developments are implemented successfully - Support for developments of various Reports in SAP and continuous effort to reduce the person dependency.
