About the Role:
A Talent Acquisition Manager with expertise in Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics hiring plays a critical role in shaping the organization's data-driven capabilities by attracting and hiring top talent in these highly specialized fields.
Manage critical stakeholder relationships and provides strategic insights that help guide complex decision making processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract, engage, and hire top-tier professionals in Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics.
They serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and hiring managers, aligning hiring efforts with business objectives in a competitive and fast-evolving talent market.
Strategic Workforce Planning:
- Collaborate with business leaders, HR, and technical teams to understand short- and long term hiring needs.
- Develop hiring plans aligned with the company's data and analytics goals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies in data.
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development:
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for roles such as:
- Data Engineers (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, Snowflake)
- Data Scientists (e.g., ML, Python, NLP, Computer Vision)
- Data Analysts/BI Analysts (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
- Leverage a mix of sourcing channels: LinkedIn, GitHub, Kaggle, Stack Overflow, employee referrals, and campus hiring.
Employer Branding & Candidate Engagement:
- Position the company as an employer of choice in the data space.
- Create content and campaigns targeting data professionals (e.g., webinars, blog posts, meetups, hackathons).
- Craft compelling job descriptions and recruitment materials tailored for data professionals.
Full-Cycle Recruitment:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
- Implement structured interview processes, including technical assessments
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary liaison between candidates and internal stakeholders (CTOs, Heads of Data, HRBPs).
- Provide regular hiring updates, metrics, and insights to leadership.
Data-Driven Recruiting:
- Use analytics to track sourcing effectiveness, time-to-hire, offer acceptance rates, and pipeline health.
- Optimize hiring funnel using recruitment metrics and KPIs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (BE / BTech - CS) from Tier I / II universities like IITs / NITs and MBA from Top Tier B-schools (IIM) preferred
- 12-15 Years of Experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics Hiring.
- Deep understanding of data roles, tech stacks, and industry benchmarks.
- Strong stakeholder and project management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset and familiarity with recruiting analytics platforms.
- Proficiency in using ATS (Greenhouse etc.) and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, etc.).
