Position Overview:
Responsible for providing strategic direction, operational leadership, and functional excellence across all areas of the Supply Chain - including Order Management (Connect with Customer), Purchase Planning & Controls, Production Planning & Control, Stores & Warehouse management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic & Functional Leadership
- Lead and guide individual functional heads to ensure effective performance across all SCM verticals.
- Support driving the SIOP meetings for improvement in Sales and Operational planning around Customer service. Inventory Management and adherence to commitments against plans
- Monitor and control SCM KPIs and drive cross-functional alignment between SCM, Production, Procurement, Sales, and Finance.
2. Demand & Supply Planning
- Translate demand plans into supply and production plans ensuring capacity and material readiness.
- Optimize inventory levels to maintain balance between customer service and working capital.
3. Order Management & Supply Assurance
- Oversee end-to-end order processing and delivery performance.
- Ensure high levels of OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
- Manage order prioritization during supply constraints to meet critical requirements.
4. Production Planning & Coordination
- Drive short-term and long-term production planning in coordination with manufacturing teams.
- Ensure alignment of material availability with production schedules.
- Monitor adherence to production plans and adjust based on demand fluctuations.
- Ensure optimal utilization of plant capacity and resources.
5. Warehouse, Stores
- Oversee efficient warehouse operations ensuring accuracy, safety, and productivity.
- Implement best practices for storage, material handling, and layout optimization.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics for cost-effective and timely transportation.
6. Compliance, Audit & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to SCM-level compliance, statutory norms, and internal control procedures.
- Support audit readiness across all SCM sub-functions.
- Implement digital tools for better visibility, analytics, and decision-making.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering.
- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management or Operations preferred.
- 12-16 years of experience in managing end-to-end SCM functions.
