Manager - Supply Chain - Healthcare

Role & responsibilities:

Supply Chain Planning & Strategy:

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company growth plans.

- Drive demand forecasting and supply planning for surgical consumables.

- Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and overstocking.

- Establish robust distribution networks across domestic and international markets.

Procurement & Vendor/OEM Management:

- Manage procurement of finished goods of medical consumables from OEM as per demand planning

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable OEM/contract manufacturers.

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements.

- Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory and quality standards & coordinate with regulatory team on the standards and FDA compliance

Inventory & Warehouse Management:

- Monitor inventory levels across warehouses/distribution centres (3PL or 4PL)

- Implement inventory control practices such as FIFO/FEFO for medical products.

- Ensure proper storage conditions as per regulatory and quality guidelines.

- Optimize warehouse operations cost

- Coordinate with Demand planning with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing Manager & CEO

Logistics & Distribution:

- Manage transportation vendors agreement, price negotiations, warehousing, and distribution of products.

- Coordinate with logistics partners and 3PL/4PL providers.

- Ensure timely delivery to distributors & hospitals or institutional customers.

- Improve supply chain efficiency and reduce logistics costs.

Regulatory & Quality Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with medical device regulations including Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) requirements.

- Maintain traceability, batch tracking, and documentation for medical products.

- Work closely with Regulatory Affairs and Quality teams to ensure compliance.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Production, Finance, and Regulatory teams.

- Support product launches and expansion into new markets.

- Align supply chain capabilities with sales forecasts and customer demand.

Cost Optimization & Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities to reduce supply chain costs.

- Implement digital tools and ERP systems for better supply chain visibility.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain operations.

Distribution Management:

- Manage Distributor appointment process, agreements)

- Distributors documentations for appointment & FDA compliance

- Monthly/Quarterly Inventory audit

- Secondary sales data collection & analysis with sales team & business analyst
