Role purpose/ Objective:
To facilitate Supply, Demand and Distribution Planning to achieve sales requirements within stated company objectives, with the use of specific key performance indicators. Drive the S&OP process which ensures that surprises are minimized, and organizations plans are on track to ensure ABP delivery. Co-ordinate with different stockholders (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) for pre-S&OP discussion.
Main Accountabilities Financial Dimension Key Interfaces:
Direct impact on ABP delivery through demand-supply convergence and S&OP outcomes. Internal: Regional Managers, Marketing, Sales/SDM, National Supply Planning, Procurement, Production/Plant Planners, Finance, Depot Teams. External: Local 3P Manufacturers, Freight & Logistics Vendors, Raw Material/Packaging Suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. S&OP & Integrated Business Planning:
- Conduct monthly S&OP to ensure convergence of plans and ABP delivery
- Balance demand and capabilities with Regional Managers, Marketing, SDM, and National Supply Planning; create alternate plans
- Converge all functions to a single operating plan for 12-month rolling horizon
- Highlight and close demand risks arising from supply constraints or other factors
2. Demand Planning & Forecast Accuracy:
- Drive Forecast Accuracy improvement through capability development, analytics, and diagnostics
- Track Forecast Accuracy at EAN, SKU, and Depot level
3. Supply Planning & Production Management:
- Generate and review master production plan for Local 3Ps; ensure compliance and monitor supply fill rates
- Manage RM/PM planning, forward buying, and production exigency controls in case of material shortages
- Provide long-term visibility for high lead-time/critical raw materials
- Finalize Local 3P SLAs in coordination with Procurement/Production
4. Distribution & Inventory Management:
- Allocate stocks to hubs based on forecast and historical trends in constrained/excess supply scenarios
- Monitor and replenish hubs as per agreed SKU stock norms
- Manage Days in Hand, maintain Hub and Channel service levels, and drive working capital efficiencies
- Manage leftover inventory and ensure Phase InPhase Out compliance
5. NPD & Supply Transition Planning:
- Ensure NPD delivery through monitoring, review, and coordination with production centers
- Develop and execute transition plan from imports to local 3P suppliers with continuous Plan vs. Supply monitoring and senior management escalation
6. MIS, Reporting & Logistics:
- Generate MIS/Reports and KPI scorecards on daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Coordinate stock counts, upload variances, release debit notes, and raise Madepas for expired stock
- Manage Primary Freight costs within budget through optimal vehicle utilization
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field
- 5 - 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, preferably in FMCG or Consumer Healthcare
- Strong working knowledge of S&OP processes, DRP, and production planning
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel; exposure to planning tools is an advantage
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret demand signals, historical trends, and supply constraints
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Understanding of RM/PM procurement cycles, 3P manufacturing, and import-to-local transition planning
