Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi for an experienced Supply Chain Manager. The position is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand planning, supply planning, procurement, and inventory management. The role focuses on building a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective supply chain while ensuring timely availability of materials and optimal inventory levels.
The Supply Chain Manager will play a key role in analyzing supply chain performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Close collaboration with suppliers, internal teams, and key stakeholders is essential to ensure smooth operations, strong vendor partnerships, and adherence to regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead demand planning and forecasting activities to align supply with business requirements and market demand.
- Oversee supply planning and procurement operations, ensuring uninterrupted material availability and cost optimization.
- Develop and maintain effective inventory management strategies to balance service levels, working capital, and storage costs.
- Analyze supply chain performance using data, KPIs, and reports to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers to build strong relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure reliable sourcing and delivery.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams such as sales, operations, quality, and finance to ensure alignment across the supply chain.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that improve efficiency, reduce risks, and support business growth.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and operational standards.
- Manage exceptions, risks, and disruptions by developing contingency and mitigation plans.
- Drive process improvements through the use of supply chain systems, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, inventory status, and improvement initiatives to senior stakeholders.
Required Experience:
- 812 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, including demand planning, supply planning, procurement, and inventory control.
- Proven experience managing complex supply chains with multiple suppliers and stakeholders.
- Strong background in forecasting, data analysis, and performance measurement.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Masters degree or MBA in Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Management is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as APICS (CPIM/CSCP), CPSM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Expertise in demand planning, supply management, procurement, and inventory optimization.
- Proficiency in supply chain management systems and advanced Excel / data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead initiatives, influence decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
