Manager - Supply Chain


Description:


This role is responsible for performing and overseeing supply chain and logistics functions including material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. The position requires creating integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing, and logistics, as well as coordinating with external suppliers. Responsibilities span across the supply chain and logistics domain, either as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


- Locate and engage local suppliers based on business needs. Key focus areas include sheet metal, machining, wire harnesses, and PCBs, along with other categories to support supply chain localization in India.


- Create and manage supplier expectations; establish KPIs to track performance and drive continuous improvement.


- Provide leadership and guidance to Buyer/Planner roles responsible for executing MRP material planning.


- Identify and manage a Continuous Improvement (CI) pipeline to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.


- Lead supplier audits and quarterly business reviews.


- Provide input and execute actions from supplier risk management processes.


- Innovate and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and optimize supply chain operations.


Education and Experience:


- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience.


- Minimum of 10 years in a supply chain sourcing role; experience in a manufacturing environment and management preferred.


- SAP experience highly desirable.


Skills and Abilities:


- Strong understanding of purchasing practices across multiple commodities.


- Experience with Lean methodologies; manufacturing environment experience preferred.


- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.


- Project management expertise.


- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.


- Knowledge of RoHS and REACH compliance requirements.


- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


- High attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.


- Ability to execute effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


- Strong negotiation skills.


- Collaborative team player.
