Role Overview:
As a Manager of Supplier Relationship Management within our Big 4 advisory practice in Bangalore, you will serve as a strategic bridge between our firm and a complex ecosystem of global vendors. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of supplier engagements, ensuring that our procurement strategies align with firm-wide risk appetite and operational excellence. By collaborating with cross-functional leadership, internal procurement teams, and external partners, you will drive value realization, mitigate third-party risks, and ensure seamless service delivery. Your work directly impacts the firm's bottom line and operational resilience, ensuring that our supply chain remains agile, compliant, and high-performing in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end vendor management lifecycle, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and offboarding, to ensure all third-party engagements meet firm standards.
- Orchestrate complex contract management processes, ensuring legal and commercial terms are optimized to protect the firm's interests while fostering productive vendor partnerships.
- Implement robust risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and remediate potential vulnerabilities within the supply chain, ensuring full regulatory and internal policy compliance.
- Drive high-level stakeholder management by acting as the primary point of contact for internal business units, facilitating alignment on procurement goals and service level expectations.
- Analyze supplier performance data and market trends to provide actionable insights to leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making for future sourcing strategies.
- Oversee the resolution of escalated vendor disputes, applying negotiation expertise to maintain continuity and service quality across all engagements.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in managing large-scale vendor ecosystems, with a proven track record of handling complex service-level agreements and contract negotiations.
- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities in risk management, specifically in identifying third-party operational, financial, and reputational risks within a professional services environment.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate cross-cultural vendor relationships effectively.
- Maintain a strategic mindset, balancing the need for cost efficiency with the necessity of maintaining high-quality service delivery and compliance standards.
- Showcase a professional background that includes 9 - 16 years of relevant experience, preferably within a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm, demonstrating a deep understanding of corporate procurement processes.
- Adapt seamlessly to a hybrid work environment in Bangalore, demonstrating the ability to lead remote teams while maintaining high levels of engagement and productivity.
- Hold a relevant postgraduate degree or professional certification in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, reflecting a strong academic and professional foundation.
