
Job Description: Manager - Strategy & M&A
Reporting to: EVP & Head - Strategy
Experience: 5-8 years

Role Overview
This role is responsible for driving high-impact strategic initiatives, supporting inorganic growth (M&A, partnerships, investments), and shaping both short & long-term business direction.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical rigor, transaction experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with CXOs and business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Strategy & Growth Initiatives
- Support development of 3-5 year strategic roadmap across businesses and verticals.
- Conduct deep dives, market assessments, competitive benchmarking, whitespace identification.
- Build business cases for new growth opportunities, category expansions, and strategic bets.
- Work closely with business units to translate strategy into actionable execution plans.
2. Mergers, Acquisitions & Investments
- Source, evaluate, and diligence potential acquisition/partnership opportunities.
- Lead financial modelling, valuation, scenario analysis, and synergies assessment.
- Prepare IC notes, board materials, and deal recommendation documents.
- Coordinate due diligence workstreams (financial, tax, legal, commercial).
- Support negotiation, deal closure, and post-merger integration.
3. Strategic Projects & Problem Solving
- Drive special projects spanning revenue, profitability, GTM, new business builds, and cost optimization.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Identify risks, structural issues, and strategic levers to enhance growth and efficiency.
4. Financial & Analytical Rigor
- Build and maintain strategic modelsmarket sizing, unit economics, cohort analysis, sensitivity models.
- Perform deep analytics to generate insights and recommendations for leadership.
5. Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Craft clear executive-ready presentations and narratives for CXOs, senior leadership and relevant stakeholders
- Influence senior stakeholders through data-backed insights and structured thinking.
- Maintain high confidentiality and judgment on sensitive information.
Qualifications & Experience
- Premium B school Background, MBA
- 5-8 years in strategy consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, or corporate strategy.
- Strong exposure to M&A transactions (buy-side).
- Proven analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-impact environments
