Manager - Statutory Audit - Big 4

Role Overview:

As a Manager in Statutory Audit, you will lead complex audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients, ensuring rigorous compliance with regulatory standards and financial reporting frameworks. You will act as a primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, managing audit teams to deliver high-quality assurance services that provide transparency and build trust in the capital markets. By overseeing the end-to-end audit lifecycle, you will play a critical role in identifying financial risks, improving internal controls, and delivering insights that drive business integrity and operational excellence for our clients in the Mumbai market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead large-scale statutory audit engagements by coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion and adherence to firm quality standards.

- Manage complex financial reporting requirements under IFRS and GAAP to ensure accurate disclosures and regulatory compliance for global and domestic clients.

- Mentor and supervise junior audit staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback to foster a culture of professional growth and technical excellence.

- Communicate audit findings and strategic recommendations to client management and audit committees to facilitate informed decision-making and risk mitigation.

- Oversee the planning and execution of audit procedures, including risk assessment and substantive testing, to provide independent assurance on financial statements.

Required Skillset:

- Possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 5 - 8 years of progressive experience in statutory audit within a Big 4 environment.

- Demonstrate deep technical proficiency in IFRS, Ind AS, and GAAP, with the ability to interpret complex accounting standards and apply them to diverse business scenarios.

- Exhibit strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration with client leadership and internal audit teams.

- Showcase the ability to manage multiple high-priority engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment based in Mumbai.

- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
