Manager - Statutory Audit

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Statutory Audit Manager to lead and manage statutory audit engagements across diverse industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end audit assignments, ensuring compliance with applicable auditing standards and regulatory requirements, managing client relationships, and mentoring engagement teams while delivering high-quality audit services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage statutory audit engagements from planning through completion.

Review financial statements prepared in accordance with Ind AS, Indian GAAP, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.

Ensure compliance with Standards on Auditing (SAs), the Companies Act, 2013, and other statutory requirements.

Identify audit risks, evaluate internal controls, and recommend process improvements.

Review audit working papers and documentation to ensure quality and compliance with firm methodologies.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout audit engagements and maintain strong client relationships.

Supervise, mentor, and develop Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Associates.

Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and profitability.

Collaborate with Partners and Directors on complex accounting, auditing, and regulatory matters.

Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and relationship management.

Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, auditing standards, and regulatory developments.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Statutory Audits, Ind AS, Indian GAAP, and Standards on Auditing (SAs).

Thorough understanding of the Companies Act, 2013 and other regulatory requirements.

Experience in risk assessment, internal controls, and audit planning.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong client relationship management and stakeholder communication abilities.

Experience in leading teams and managing multiple audit engagements simultaneously.

Proficiency in MS Excel and audit tools/software.
