Client aims to transform the automotive aftermarket in India by revolutionizing the spare part procurement process while providing component suppliers powerful insights which will help them grow their aftermarket business. They are building a platform for mechanics to order spare parts for two wheelers directly to their workshops. Mechanics are key decision makers in part selection but have been under served due to their small and unorganized nature. Our app will offer the widest selection of parts at competitive prices, enabling mechanics to order spare parts directly instead of wasting time in sourcing. As the two wheeler market evolves with the influx of electric vehicles, we will future proof mechanics by training them on new technologies and spare parts.

Who are they looking for?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sourcing Manager who will play a crucial role in sourcing high-quality 2 Wheeler spare parts to support our mission of providing exceptional service to our mechanics. This will give you the opportunity to work at a high growth early stage startup which is disrupting the traditional and informal automotive aftermarket by leveraging technology. With high growth comes unique challenges which will require you to use your problem solving and analytical skills. Looking for candidates who have exp working with Oil & Lubricants companies into sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality 2 Wheeler spare parts from suppliers (distributors and wholesalers)

- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to maintain a reliable and diverse supply chain.

- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining quality standards.

- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all sourced spare parts meet our quality standards and regulatory requirements.

- Inventory Management: Work closely on inventory management to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.

- Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or service levels.

- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing decisions.

- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align sourcing strategies with marketing initiatives and product launches.

- Reporting: Generate reports and analyze data to track sourcing performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree/PG in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation, preferably in the spare parts industry and startup.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with sourcing software/tools.
