Job Summary:
The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating sourcing activities from the ACPL Office with a strong focus on managing quotation requests, suppliers, product and component development, supplier negotiation, production monitoring, quality checking and their resolution. This role will support multiple Tramontina business units globally ensuring timely, competitive, and reliable sourcing of finished products and components.
Responsibilities:
- Quotation Management: Manage and coordinate RFQs for finished products and components in India, ensuring timely and complete responses.
- Quote Comparison & Validation: Review and compare new supplier quotations with previous quotes to validate competitiveness.
- Pricing & Lead Time Negotiation: Negotiate prices and lead times with suppliers to achieve optimal cost and delivery terms.
- Product & Component Development Interface: Oversee development discussions with vendors, acting as the interface between Tramontina Product Development Team and vendors.
- Quality Monitoring: Collaborate with quality assurance, sourcing and product development teams to ensure vendors meet all quality and regulatory standards.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong communication with current suppliers to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
- New Vendor Sourcing and Development: Support ACPL and Tramontina USA in identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new vendors in India.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a communication bridge between Indian vendors and Tramontina to align expectations.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quotations, supplier interactions, and development status.
- Market Trends & Raw Material Monitoring: Monitor market trends and raw material costs to support sourcing decisions.
- Factory Production Planning: Create and adjust production schedules with factories based on demand and capacity.
- Purchase Order & Shipment Follow-up: Follow up on purchase orders and shipment status; verify quantities received.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain, manufacturing, and material management.
- Proficient in Excel and working ERP experience.
- Ability to challenge conventional thinking and offer unique perspectives.
- Problem-solver with the ability to translate information into actionable recommendations.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict mediation skills.
- Must be legally eligible for employment in India and pass background checks.
Working Conditions:
This position operates in an office environment and requires frequent travel.
