Role Summary:

The Social Media Manager is a strategic and creative lead responsible for the end-to-end growth and brand differentiation of our social media ecosystem, with a primary focus on Instagram (70%). You will architect a high-frequency content machine, moving from high-level strategy and content pillar definition to daily execution and performance optimization. This role demands a high aesthetic sense and a "creator mindset"you will ideate and produce high-performing Reels and Stories, write viral-ready hooks and scripts, and manage the production workflow with editors and creators. You will be the pulse of our digital community, translating Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn trends into actionable growth while ensuring our brand voice remains distinct in the D2C/lifestyle space.

Responsibilities:

- Strategic Content Architecture: Develop and own the overarching social media strategy, establishing core content pillars and maintaining a rigorous monthly content calendar.

- High-Velocity Production: Ideate, script, and produce high-performing Reels, Stories, and static posts; this includes the willingness to appear on-camera as a brand face when necessary.

- Creative Direction & Copywriting: Write compelling hooks, video scripts, and captions designed to maximize retention and engagement across diverse demographics.

- Editorial Management: Brief and manage internal/external editors and creators to ensure visual output aligns with brand aesthetics and technical platform requirements.

- Platform Operations: Execute daily posting schedules, manage story sequences, and drive active community engagement to foster brand loyalty.

- Data Analytics & Optimization: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze platform insights, and perform A/B testing on hooks/formats to continuously optimize for reach and conversion.

- Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with Influencer and Brand teams to integrate large-scale campaigns and product launches into the organic social roadmap.

- Trend Harvesting: Maintain a deep understanding of evolving algorithm behaviors, audio trends, and platform-specific features to keep the brand at the forefront of the D2C space.

- Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor one direct report, overseeing their daily tasks and professional development in social media operations.

Technical Requirements:

- Core Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience leading Instagram strategy for a high-growth D2C/lifestyle brand or a top-tier creative agency.

- Platform Mastery: Advanced expertise in Instagrams algorithm, native creator tools, and business suite; proficient in managing YouTube and LinkedIn for professional brand positioning.

- Content Production: Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality storytelling through short-form video (Reels/TikTok style) and visual aesthetic consistency.

- Analytical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to interpret social media metrics (Engagement Rate, Shareability, Reach) to drive data-backed content pivots.

- Editing & Software: Proficiency in basic mobile/desktop editing tools (e.g., CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Rush) and design tools like Canva or Figma for story layouts.

- Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex production schedules and lead shoots in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Aesthetic Sensitivity: An exceptional "eye" for design, lighting, and composition that resonates with a premium lifestyle audience.

- Narrative Storytelling: Ability to craft "hooks" that capture attention within the first 1.5 seconds of a scroll.

- Agile Execution: A high-speed workflow style, capable of moving from a trending idea to a live post within hours.

- Influencer Literacy: Experience in directing creators and influencers to ensure their content fits the brands visual and tonal requirements.

- Leadership Presence: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage a reportee and communicate performance wins to senior leadership.
