Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and strategic professional to join our team as an SMB Portfolio Manager. This role focuses on identifying growth-ready SMBs and enabling their expansion through corporate partnerships, funding access, market linkages, and strategic advisory. You will drive real economic impact within key business hubs across India.
Key Responsibilities
SMB Identification & Engagement
- Source high-potential SMBs by partnering with industry bodies (CII, FICCI, NASSCOM), government agencies, and corporates.
- Lead onboarding of SMBs into accelerator and growth programs aligned to market and sector needs.
- Build collaborations with corporate accelerators, commerce chambers, and public support schemes.
Scaling & Market Access
- Facilitate corporate partnerships for pilots, PoCs, and B2B deals.
- Advise SMBs on scaling strategies, product-market fit, and customer acquisition.
- Support SMBs in public procurement and government tendering.
Alternative Financing & Investment Readiness
- Help SMBs access grants, concessional capital, impact investments, and debt instruments.
- Connect SMBs to alternate funding sources (e.g. SIDBI, state schemes, micro-VCs).
- Organize investor engagement events such as pitch days and matchmaking sessions.
Tracking & Impact Measurement
- Maintain a portfolio database tracking SMB growth metrics (revenue, job creation, funds raised).
- Develop case studies, impact narratives, and success stories.
- Provide data-based insights into regional SMB trends and policy implications.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4-7 years of experience in SMB engagement, industry associations, or corporate innovation programs.
- Solid understanding of SMB growth challenges, market development, and financing ecosystems.
- Experience with public procurement, government schemes, and B2B partnerships is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management, program execution, and business advisory skills.
