Manager / Senior Manager - Treasury (Long-Term Debt)
Location: Mumbai
Role Overview:
This role will have end-to-end ownership of long-term debt capital, with a strong and non-negotiable focus on term loans and long-term borrowings. The incumbent will lead institutional funding transactions, lender negotiations, execution, and post-disbursement compliance, while partnering closely with senior leadership on capital structure optimisation and funding strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Long-Term Debt & Term Loans (Core Focus - Non-Negotiable)
Own the entire lifecycle of long-term debt / term loan raising, including:
- Identification and selection of banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions
- Evaluation and negotiation of term sheets
- Sanction, documentation, and disbursement processes
- Post-disbursement monitoring and covenant compliance
- Build and deepen relationships with lenders and institutional funding partners
- Lead refinancing, restructuring, or repricing of existing long-term borrowings to optimise cost of capital
- Ensure timely servicing of interest and principal repayments, with strict adherence to loan covenants
Treasury & Financial Management
- Develop and maintain robust financial models, forecasts, and cash-flow projections to support debt raising and capital planning
- Conduct detailed financial statement analysis to support lender discussions and internal decision-making
- Partner closely with Corporate Finance, FP&A, and Accounting teams to align treasury strategy with business plans
- Oversee documentation, internal approvals, and controls related to borrowings
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
- Act as a key interface with lenders, advisors, auditors, and internal stakeholders
- Present funding proposals, updates, and risk assessments to senior management
- Lead, mentor, and review the work of two CAs within the treasury function
- Contribute to building scalable treasury processes, governance frameworks, and controls
Candidate Profile:
Experience & Background:
- 7-10 years of experience in Corporate Treasury
- Mandatory hands-on exposure to term loans / long-term debt capital (non-negotiable)
- Strong track record of institutional debt negotiations and execution
- Preference for candidates from mid-sized organisations; candidates from large corporates considered only if they have direct, end-to-end term-loan execution experience
- Education: CA / MBA preferred
- Work Model: 5-day work week (Finance & Accounts function)
