Job Purpose:
To lead and operationalize Sustainability agenda across the group companies and driving robust governance, certification excellence, responsible sourcing discipline, and measurable environmental and social performance improvements through collaboration and team work across the group companies
Key Responsibilities
ESG Governance & Roadmap Execution
- Lead implementation of the organization's sustainability roadmap across all location/group companies
- Define annual ESG targets and ensure accountability at factory and functional levels.
- Drive structured ESG review mechanisms with senior leadership.
- Institutionalize policies, SOPs, and performance tracking systems.
Certifications & Audit Leadership
- Own end-to-end readiness for RJC and other applicable certifications (ISO, SA8000, etc.).
- Ensure zero major non-conformities and time-bound closure of audit observations.
- Standardize compliance systems across plants.
- Identify and mitigate ESG-related operational and reputational risks.
ESG Data & Reporting
- Establish robust ESG data governance mechanisms.
- Validate environmental and social metrics before reporting.
- Lead preparation of BRSR and customer ESG disclosures.
- Develop dashboards for leadership decision-making.
Environmental Performance & Resource Optimization
- Drive measurable improvements in energy efficiency, waste reduction, water stewardship, and carbon footprint.
- Support renewable energy and decarbonization initiatives.
- Quantify cost savings from sustainability interventions.
Responsible Supply Chain
- Institutionalize supplier ESG evaluation framework.
- Monitor supplier compliance and certifications.
- Strengthen traceability and responsible sourcing systems.
- Integrate ESG metrics into vendor performance evaluation.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
- Lead and develop sustainability team members.
- Build ESG ownership across internal team and group companies
- Conduct regular cross-functional ESG performance reviews.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong project management and execution discipline
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks (GRI, BRSR, RJC, ISO 14001, etc.)
- Proven experience managing audits and certifications
- Strong analytical and data interpretation capability
- Ability to drive change across functions
