Position: Manager / Senior Manager SCM (Greenfield Projects)

Location: Bangalore

About the Role:

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Manager Supply Chain Management (SCM) to lead end-to-end supply chain activities for their greenfield projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical manufacturing or industrial project environments, with hands-on experience in procurement, vendor management, logistics, and project supply chain operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Oversee the entire supply chain function for greenfield projects, from planning to execution.

- Develop and manage procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and services.

- Handle vendor identification, evaluation, and selection, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

- Lead negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

- Coordinate raw material procurement, special bought-outs, and subcontracting fabrication activities.

- Manage logistics, transport, and inventory control to optimize cost and efficiency.

- Collaborate with project, engineering, and finance teams to ensure seamless project execution.

- Prepare and monitor budgets for supply chain operations within the project.

- Build and maintain strong industry networks to support procurement and sourcing needs.

Qualification & Experience:

- Should be an Engineering Graduate (Mechanical preferred) with 8 to 15 years of overall experience, including 3 to 5 years in Greenfield Project SCM within the Manufacturing, Mechanical Equipment, or Structural sectors.

- Proven experience in Project Supply Chain Management, including vendor development and material planning.

- Strong exposure to working with raw materials, special bought-outs, subcontracting fabrication, and industry networking.

- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.

Preferred Industry Background:

Preferred: Mechanical Manufacturing sectors such as Precision Machinery, Lifestyle Products, Electronic Components, or Standard Components Procurement.
