
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly capable and intellectually driven professional to work closely with the promoter across a diverse portfolio of businesses, investments and strategic projects.
The selected candidate will serve as an analytical and execution partnerevaluating proposals, undertaking financial and commercial analysis, tracking projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing well-reasoned, independent inputs to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluating, planning and monitoring ongoing and proposed projects across multiple sectors.
- Review business plans, investment proposals, project reports, financial models, contracts and management presentations.
- Undertake financial analysis, including profitability assessment, cash-flow evaluation, project viability, return analysis, sensitivity analysis and risk identification.
- Prepare concise decision notes, briefing papers, presentations, dashboards and management reports.
- Analyse information independently and provide clear, commercially reasoned recommendations.
- Conduct market, industry, company and competitor research relevant to new and existing projects.
- Track critical milestones, budgets, deliverables and dependencies across projects.
- Coordinate with management teams, consultants, lawyers, financial advisers, technical experts, government authorities and other stakeholders.
- Participate in important meetings, accurately record decisions and ensure timely follow-up and implementation.
- Identify delays, inconsistencies, commercial risks and unresolved issues, and proactively recommend solutions.
- Support negotiations, business development initiatives, partnerships, investments and special situations.
- Organise and prioritise matters requiring promoters attention, ensuring that he receives complete and decision-ready information.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to business, financial and personal matters.
- Undertake limited executive coordination and travel planning where connected with business priorities.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from a reputed institution.
- MBA/PGDM from a reputed business school.
- Approximately 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in strategy, consulting, investment analysis, project management, corporate finance, preferably worked with the promoters office, CEOs office or a similar cross-functional role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, business models, project economics and commercial evaluation.
- Experience in infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing, energy, investment, consulting or diversified business groups would be advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, with the confidence to form and communicate an independent view.
- Strong proficiency in Excel-based financial analysis and PowerPoint presentations.
- Ability to simplify complex financial, technical and commercial information for senior-level decision-making.
- High standards of written and verbal communication.
- Mature, discreet and comfortable working directly with promoters, senior management and external advisers.
- Willingness to work across varied sectors and take ownership of assignments outside narrowly defined responsibilities.
- Flexibility to travel when required.
