Manager/Senior Manager - R&D - Specialty Chemicals

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Development of cost-effective pesticides and intermediates with a strong focus on impurity minimization

2. Design and develop synthetic routes for agrochemical actives, intermediates, or fine chemicals.

3. Transition lab-scale processes to pilot and plant scale in collaboration with production/plant teams.

4. Troubleshoot synthetic challenges during scale-up.

5. Assign projects, ensure timeline adherence, and maintain documentation standards.

6. Ensure smooth technology transfer and effective project execution at the plant level.

7. Work closely with EHS, QA, and production teams for smooth handover.

8. Ensure regulatory compliance for new and existing products.

9. Strong understanding and hands-on experience in organic chemistry and synthesis.

Key Competencies:

1. M.Sc / PhD in Organic Chemistry / Synthetic Chemistry.

2. Strong expertise in organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, catalysis, process chemistry

3. Hand on experience Agrochemicals / Pharmaceuticals / Fine Chemicals / Specialty Chemicals.

4. Proven ability to develop synthesis processes, including the preparation of stereoisomers of choice.
