About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Manager/Senior Manager Product Control for the Financial Services Risk Advisory team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in product control, daily P&L processes, financial accounting, balance sheet substantiation, and product knowledge across market products. This role requires a mix of technical capability, leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to work closely with finance and operations teams in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily P&L production, validation, and reporting process.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Market Products, including end-to-end data flows, system flows, and accounting flows.
- Conduct reconciliations and substantiation of balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of books and records.
- Review and analyze financial data; ensure all adjustments are properly recorded and explained.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product Control, and Market Operations teams to understand product behavior and financial impact.
- Lead UAT, product setup, and system enhancements in coordination with Finance and Technology teams.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and insights for senior stakeholders.
- Serve as the point of escalation for critical issues, time-sensitive decisions, and complex reconciliations.
- Ensure strong governance, controls, and adherence to regulatory and audit standards.
- Mentor, guide, and lead the team, demonstrating strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Accurately assess situations and influence internal stakeholders to gain buy-in and commitment.
- Manage multiple priorities and propose creative solutions to operational and business challenges.
- Work in UK shift hours and collaborate effectively with global teams.
Mandatory Skill Sets:
- Product Control expertise
- Daily P&L production, validation, and reporting
- Strong knowledge of market products and financial instruments
Preferred Skill Sets:
- Balance Sheet Substantiation
- Accounting & Financial Control
- Understanding of system/data workflows, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Experience Required:
- 9+ years of experience in Product Control / Financial Accounting / Financial Services
Education Qualification:
- CA preferred (Referral)
- MBA / Post-Graduation in Finance
