NDT Level 3 & QMS Manager (NAS 410 / EN 4179) (12-20 yrs)

Position Title: Manager / Senior Manager - NDT Level 3 & QMS

Department: Quality / NDT

Reports To: Head - Quality / Operations

Role Summary:

The NDT Level 3 & QMS Manager will lead and manage all Non-Destructive Testing activities and ensure full compliance with aerospace quality standards such as NAS 410/EN 4179, Nadcap, AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS13100. This role is responsible for developing NDT procedures, training and certifying NDT personnel, managing audits, and ensuring process reliability across aerospace components.

Key Responsibilities:

1. NDT Technical Leadership

- Serve as Responsible Level 3 for FPI, MPI, RT (Film/CR) and UT (A-scan).

- Develop, review, approve, and validate NDT Procedures, Technique Sheets, Work Instructions and Written Practices.

- Provide technical guidance for evaluation and disposition of NDT results.

- Ensure equipment qualification, system performance checks and process capability monitoring.

- Drive NDT process improvements.

2. Training & Personnel Qualification

- Conduct in-house training, qualification, re-certification & performance reviews for Level I & II personnel.

- Maintain the company's NAS 410/EN4179 Written Practice and certification system.

- Mentor NDT technicians to improve competency.

3. QMS, Nadcap & AS13100 Compliance

- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap NDT, EN4179, AS13100.

- Lead Nadcap and Customer NDT audits.

- Review and implement customer-specific aerospace requirements.

- Maintain QMS documentation.

4. Audits & Process Governance

- Conduct Internal and Supplier audits.

- Lead audit planning, documentation readiness, compliance matrix preparation.

- Coordinate closure of NCs using RCA, CAPA, 8D and risk-based actions.

- Support FAI (AS9102), PPAP, and customer qualification documentation.

5. Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Interface with customer quality representatives.

- Work closely with production and engineering for process stability.

- Ensure timely communication on NDT-related quality issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- BE/B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering.

- NAS 410/EN 4179 Level 3 in FPI & MPI (RT/UT advantage).

- 8-15+ years experience in aerospace NDT & Quality Systems.

- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap NDT, AS13100.

- Aerospace customer experience preferred.
