Job Summary:

The IT Auditor will lead the evaluation and enhancement of IT systems, security controls, and compliance frameworks in the NBFC, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements such as RBI guidelines and industry best practices. This role involves managing complex IT audit projects, identifying risks in IT infrastructure and applications, and driving remediation efforts to strengthen IT governance and risk mitigation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead planning and execution of IT audits, including cybersecurity, data protection, vendor management, business continuity, and control assessments across NBFC IT environments.

- Assess adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory mandates and internal standards.

- Manage and mentor a team of IT auditors, ensuring audit quality, timely delivery, and professional development.

- Collaborate closely with IT, Risk, Compliance, and Business units to address audit findings and recommend robust control improvements.

- Oversee coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies during IT audit examinations.

- Develop and continuously improve IT audit methodologies aligned with NBFC operations and emerging risks.

- Deliver detailed audit reports, highlighting key risks, impacts, and actionable recommendations to senior management and audit committees.

- Monitor remediation of identified risks and track compliance status effectively.

- Stay abreast of technological advancements, cybersecurity threats, and changes in regulatory landscape affecting NBFC IT environments.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Masters or professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM) preferred.

- Minimum 10 years of IT audit experience preferably within NBFC, banking, or financial services.

- Strong knowledge of IT audit frameworks (COBIT, ITIL), cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements (RBI guidelines, IT Act), and risk management principles.

- Proven expertise in IT governance, risk assessments, and control testing in financial or regulated environments.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience managing audit teams and liaising with external auditors and regulators.

- Ability to analyze complex IT systems, infrastructure, and processes to identify control gaps and risks.

- Proficiency in audit tools, data analytics, and risk reporting.

Preferred:

- Experience with IT audits of core banking systems, lending platforms, payment gateways, and digital technologies relevant to NBFCs.

- Aptitude for driving continuous improvement in IT audit practices and risk awareness initiatives.
