Manager / Sr.Manager - Institutional Sales / Mutual Funds JOB INTENT: - The position relies on relationship building and consultative selling. Researching and identifying sales opportunity, generating leads, target identification and classification. - Reaching out to new customers and making presentations or pitches outlining the benefits of the product. Candidates form Asset Management Companies (AMC) preferred. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - To actively drive the Institutional Sales Strategy laid down for the concerned market which could be expanded as and when the need arises. - Support to Sales Team in building relationship and growing Sales. - Ability to liaison with Mid and Large size treasuries/Institutional clients. - Responsible for developing, building and maintaining existing/new relationship for improving our market share. - Support in driving transformation of the business to a channel focus sales and marketing structure. - Achieve the targets as set by your reporting Manager which would change from time to time and would be communicated to you as decided by the Management. - Cater to existing clients effectively and broaden the base of Institutional Clients. - In depth knowledge of Indian capital markets with special emphasis on fixed income markets and interest rates. - Researching the market and related products. - Presenting the product in the right light and in a structured professional way face-to-face. - Manage, develop, coach, motivate & mentor the sales team (if any) to enhance their skill to ensure a high professional standard & achievement of monthly sales target and KRA targets. - Build effectiveness of Customer servicing quality across the area and set internal benchmarks. - Responsible for ensuring you and your team members (if any) are fully equipped with relevant 'functional and behavioral competencies about product /market positioning/compliance guidelines/ market dynamics and build a skill repository to cascade the information to the team members (if any). - Collation of the market information such as competitor activities & initiatives and analyze the same with the help of Product & Investment Team to pre-empt its impact on the business. - Ensure Compliance & Risk Standards. JOB SPECIFICATION: - Preferably 7-9 years of total Institutional sales experience in Mutual Fund. - Preferably an MBA from a reputed Business School or any Financial Post Graduation - Leadership Qualities - Strong Networking Skill and Relationship Management - Must possess relevant functional and leadership competencies to perform - Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must - Good analytical abilities - Ability to see the bigger picture and strategize accordingly - Ability to effectively managing teams to achieve goals assigned
